Liverpool take on Leicester City at Anfield for Liverpool's opening game of the EFL Cup games. Leicester city started their campaign in round 2 beating Tranmere Rovers 0-2 with goals from Vardy and Ndidi.
Liverpool taking on Leicester is always a great game with goals galore. Average 3 goals per game in their last 6 meetings and we hope this continues in this EFL game.

Predicted Lineups:
Liverpool Predicted Lineup
Liverpool will have to rotate their side with the Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspurs being in 3 days time (Saturday). This will give fringe players Endo and Tsimikas
game time, as well as some of the youth players, notably Quansah and Doak. Joe Gomez will most likely start over Bajcetic, as Trent is back in training and will probably start on Saturday.
Leicester Predicted Lineup
Leicester city losing Callum Doyle will cause Enzo Maresca a headache about who or how to play this game. Conor Coady could come in for his debut as he has been on the bench for the last few games or Enzo may look to play 3 at the back and try score early against a struggling first half Liverpool. McAteer may start, hoping the youth could spark a mistake in the Liverpool defense.
Prediction:
The game is difficult to predict as both teams are in great form and have important games this weekend. If Vardy starts I can see him scoring against Liverpool like he has 10 times prior and even twice in the 3-3 EFL Cup game last time.
Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City
